The Banderites robbed and burned Polish farms and the Roman Catholic church, and murdered 10 Poles, including a mother with a 3‑year‑old daughter. They kidnapped 25‑year‑old Eugenia Czanerla and her 19‑year‑old half–sister Józefa Raczyńska to the bunker. They were kept there for several days and raped and then murdered.

One day, a Ukrainian acquaintance from Perehińsk came to Alojzy Czanerle, who said that Eugenia Czanerle with her daughter Marta and Józefa Raczyńska had been abducted from home and kept in a bunker, raped and threatened with death. This news came true, both women with the child never returned home. They were murdered.
