In the reports of the OUN from September 1944 from several countys of the Tarnopol voivodeship, it was noted, inter alia: on September 19, in the village of Ostrowczyk, the OUN „militia in Bolshevik uniforms lit a hut where the active Lachy stayed for the night and all other lacka wołocz of the village, which is now on NKVD. 3 Lachs were burned, and the rest were saved in the” basement.

The Ukrainians murdered 7 Poles, including the kidnapping of 35‑year‑old Józef Góralik into the forest. After two weeks, his wife found her husband's body: his body had traces of torture, his ears were cut off, his eyes gouged out, and the skin and hair were ripped off his head.
