The Ukrainians murdered two Polish teachers: one was shot and the other one was lost without a trace. They were: Toporowski Florian (from Skałat) and Demkowski N.

On December 21, 1943, the Ukrainians ambushed teachers Florian Toporowski and Demkowski from Skałat in an ambush in Ostra Mogiła. They shot Demkowski on the spot and kidnapped Toporowski without a trace.
