The Banderites in the forester's lodge strangled and threw 4 Poles into a well: 17‑year‑old Sylwia Żyłka, her 20‑year‑old sister Zyta Żyłka, 20‑year‑old Zdzisława Zawadzka and 21‑year‑old Franciszek Zawadzki (a young couple).

On January 19, 1945, a forester Franciszek Lechki, 21, with his wife Zdzisława (née Zawadzka) and his wife's two cousins, was murdered by the UPA during a raid on a forester's lodge. The bodies were thrown into the well. Their funeral took place on January 21, 1945, and they were buried in Podbuż.
