The Ukrainians abducted 86‑year‑old Rafał Monasterski from the field, after whom the trace was lost, only part of his bloody clothing was found. Others: Monasterski Rafał, 34, was killed.

September 3, 1943. Nowosiółka, area Pidhaitsi. Rafał, a Pole from Monasterski, carrying a cart with sheaves, was attacked by the Ukrainians on the road and murdered with two revolver shots and knife stabs. Six weeks before that, unknown perpetrators burst into his house claiming to be Kripers. Then Monasterski escaped and then checked that they were not Kripers but bandits.

On September 8 this year. he was murdered during the transport of grain from his own field in Nowosiółka, Podhajce commune, Podhajce county Manasterski Rafał, farmer, former non–commissioned officer of the Polish Army, 36, who orphaned his 70‑year‑old mother.
