Niemowicze
After the New Year of 1943, Poles were constantly on guard, and every night an alarm was raised because of an attempted attack. Screams of people being murdered came from the vicinity. In this situation, the Poles fled to the forest for the nights and hid there in dug holes where they would walk in the snow, so that there would be as few traces as possible for the UPA to find their hiding place. During the day, the families would come home to eat and warm up. It lasted through February and March 1943. At the end of March 1943, a young Polish woman with a small child was murdered in a house on the outskirts of the village. Her breasts were cut off, and the baby's leg was cut off, which they wrote in blood on the wall: „Death” lachmates. After this murder, the Poles fled to Sarny.
