For several hours, the Poles defended themselves in the building, which the UPA finally poured kerosene and gasoline on and set it on fire; 31 Poles were burned alive. M. in. died: Buczkowski N., 40, Józef and his daughter Klaudia, Grabowa N., Jówiak and his sons Wiesław and Zbigniew, Krzyżanowski Bronisław, Leon and his wife Stanisława, Kozłowska Marcela, Solarz Tadeusz, Szlachta Jan and his son Zbigniew, Rychlewska Maria, Tęgoborski Rudolf, Tustanowska Joanna, Wyspiański Jan aged around 50, Bronisław and his brother Tadeusz.
