The village of Myszakowa (also mentioned as Myszakówka) was founded in the 18th century and was one of the largest Polish settlements in Zasluch region, after Huta Stara. In 1939 […] village had over 100 homesteads. The colonies of Berezówka and Spalony Młynek were also part of the community. There was a primary school in the village […] . There was also a dairy, several shops, a mill and an oil mill. Youth organizations operated in the village: shooting, Catholic, scout, and the Circle of Rural Housewives and others, which were greatly helped by the nearby posts of the Border Protection Corps KOP.
The parish in Myszakowa was established in 1924. The wooden church of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel was built with contributions from parishioners in 1925. In 1938, the parish had over 1,500 faithful; It included the following villages: Myszakowa, Astrachanka, Berezówka, Bielczaki, Bielczakowska Kolonia, Głuszków, Huta Korecka, Kaczan, Kałyczewo, Kospy, Nakazów and Spalony Młynek.
