A 17‑year‑old Pole, Aleksander Chwaliński, was invited by his Ukrainian friend Jurek Kohut to his house for a card game, from where he was kidnapped by the Bandera followers. After six weeks, his body was found in a clay pit about 20 km from the village. The boy had his hands cut off, his nose and eyes gouged out.
