Majdan Mokwiński
The UPA massacred several dozen Polish families (50 Polish families lived here) „Mr. Nikodem's eldest daughter, Stanisława Żarczyńska, lived with her family in Majdan Mokwiński. In August, the family decided to flee to the city. On the day of their departure, they had their last dinner at their home, together with Wincenty's sister and the child who lived with them after their husband's death. Ukrainian residents of the colony watching the farm, however, did not allow «the cursed Lachs» to leave «with a cart of belongings». Several rezuns armed with rifles rode into the yard on horseback. alarmed by the barking of the dog, the Poles ran through the open windows. Grandma hid in tall cannabis, Wincenty and her son Mietek ran through the forest to their parents–in–law, and Stanisława, with her baby, and her sister–in–law with her son, ran to the nearby marshes, where they lay down in the swamp behind the rare bushes. One and a half year old Jadzia stayed in the crib. The attackers spotted the women in the swamp from their horses and started shooting at them. Stanisława was hit in the stomach. She released the infant that drowned. The sister–in–law holding her crying son was hit several times. She didn't stand a chance. Her son, who was covering his head with his hands, was hit by a bullet and lost his finger. He also sustained a slight head wound. However, he managed to survive this hell. Jadzia was still sleeping in the bed. One of the Ukrainians tried to stab her with a knife. Fortunately, he was stopped by another, who said he did not want the baby's blood on his hands. Grandma, who was crouching outside the window, took care of him right after the Ukrainians left. after the massacre, Nikodem and Wincenty came from Borek. They took the corpses and other people onto a cart and escaped along forest roads so that the murderers would not catch them again. The boy was dressed. Unfortunately, Stanisława's wound was so serious that it was impossible to help her. after five hours, she died in terrible torments. She was buried next to her sisters with her child and sister–in–law”.

The forum member wrote on July 17, 2011: „My grandparents and parents also experienced a nightmare in the East. Uncle was nailed to the barn door and her belly was ripped open, and her uncle was cut with a wood saw. I will never believe in Ukrainian honesty. It was done by the people «who were good neighbors from before». Her great–uncle's child was smashed against the threshold of the house before her eyes. My mom has never missed those sites or wants to go there as a tourist, and I'm not surprised”. Unfortunately, he did not provide either the names of the victims or the place where the crime was committed.
