„On September 4, 1944, Bolshevik special units and MO carried out manhunts on forests and villages. During the raid in the village of Łówcza, the following men were murdered:
Horiwnyk Stepan — 18 years old;
Koczułak Mykhailo — 39;
Kruhlak Ivan — 45;
Moroz Stepan — 58;
Truchan Ivan — 44”.

„On January 28, 1945, the Polish Army surprised a peasant Jacyniak Iwan in the forest, 34, who was killed on the spot […]
On the same day, the local MO wanted to arrest Zabowski, Mykhailo, 41, but he started to flee. Consequently, the militia opened fire and injured him so much that he soon died of wounds.

Kureń „Zalizniaka” liquidated 18 posts of the Civic Militia, 30 militiamen were killed and 10 were abducted and murdered. From 43 to 72 people of the Polish civilian population were murdered. These were posts in the following towns: Dzików Stary, Podemszczyzna, Horyniec, Zalesie, Basznia Dolna, Łówcza, Futory, Nowa Grobla, Brusno Nowe, Krowica, Puchacze, Chotylub, Wólka Horyniecka, Zapałów, Bichale, Łaszki, Płazów, and Cewków.
