Łobozew

[The Ukrainians] murdered 27 Poles. „Unexpectedly, we heard that Polish farms were looted near the village of Łobozew and 5 Polish families were hacked with axes, and adults and children had their heads chopped off and placed on the fence with the inscription: «We will do the same to all Lachs, red partisans and their commander Mucha how they don't leave our land». Three days later, we retaliated by taking cattle, food, horses, grain, porkers and clothing from 5 Ukrainian nationalist farms. However, we did not have the moral courage to do the same as the UPA did with Polish families. However, we hung up leaflets in which we warned: «if the murder happens again, as near Łobz, for each Polish family we will kill 10 Ukrainian» families, signed by the commander of the partisan unit Mucha Michalski. Our leaflets worked for a while”.

Kunicki further writes that a pop from Krzywe named Radjo told UPA sotniks that he warned them not to kill the Lachs for the time being „And you killed 5 families – 27” people. „Burłaki”, a captain from the sotnya, testified that this pop acts as a prosecutor in the OUN–UPA for all sotnyas in the Bieszczady Mountains.
