In the course of the investigation, it was established that in 1943, at an unspecified time, a group of German gendarmes with the Ukrainian police came to Leopoldów in the evening. For unknown reasons, 5 people were shot in the manor house, including 3 men and 2 women, who had not managed to escape from the gendarmes. As it was possible to establish, all the shot people were of Polish nationality.
