Łabowa

In the village of Łabowa near Krynica: „The most spectacular action carried out by 'Smyrny' UPA group was the burning of the village of Łabowa near Krynica, together with the unit of Modest Rypecki 'Horyslav', who came from the east. On June 27, 46, 'Smyrny' noted in his diary: «We are carrying out a joint action with Hor's (i.e. Modest Rypecki 'Horyslav' — note by B. H.) militias. in the village of Łabowa. We disarm the militia station and burn the building. We also destroy the commune building and the post office and burn all the huts left by the resettled Ukrainian population. Some of them have already been taken and inhabited by the Poles». The next day it was recorded in the diary: «We are engaged in two great battles with the Polish army and the Polish Security Service UB  […] The first fight is at one in the afternoon, and the second at six in the evening. There are no losses or injuries on our side. On the enemy's side, more than 10 people were killed and a dozen or so wounded»”.
