general info
The UPA attacked the evacuation column of the Polish population from the town of Łanowce, about 2 kilometers long, cut off about 150 Poles, captured 129 people and smashed them with poles and stones. A German escort of 15 gendarmes escaped without fighting, apparently this was what the gendarmes had agreed with the UPA.
