Excerpt from the report of the interrogation by a SB‑OUN clerk of Władysław Stolar, a resident of Bircza, on June 10, 1945 about the murders of his son–policeman on 2 Ukrainians in Kotów:
„My son, Wilko Stolar, has been in the Citizens' Militia in Bircza since July 1944. He took participation [in seizures] incl. to the following Ukrainian villages: Kotów, Malawa, Dobrzanka, Leszczawa Górna, Suwczyna and Brzuska. After returning from the raids, he told me that he shot a Ukrainian, Hadyniak Volodymyr, 20, in Kotów, who died two days later; he beat two farmers from Kotów, they were Dytyniak Iwan and Lachowicz Petro — one of them later died”.
