Myrosław Onyszkewycz „Orest Karat” gave the order: „I order you to purge your area immediately from the Polish element and Ukrainian–Bolshevik agents. The purge should be carried out in riverside hostels sparsely populated by Poles. To this end, create a militia near the area, composed of our members, whose task would be to eliminate the above–mentioned. Our larger hostels will be cleared of this element by our military units even in broad daylight  […] The clearing of the area must be completed before our Easter so that we can celebrate it without Poles. Remember that when the Bolsheviks find us with Poles in our territory, they will slaughter us all  […] Make a hard, ruthless fight with them. Not to spare anyone, even in mixed marriages. To take Lachs out of their houses, but The Ukrainians and children in these houses should not be liquidated  […] Get the gun. Death to the Poles. Stop, April 6, 1944. Glory to the heroes! Orest, Karat” This order is in the files of the investigation against Myroslav Onyshhevych.

Krowica Hołodowska

Excerpt from an account by Maria Korytko, born in Lubaczów, about the murder of a Ukrainian in Krowica Hołodowska by MO members:
On December 31, 1944, Polish militia entered the house in the village of Krowica Hołodowska (10 km from Lubaczów), where my grandmother Kornelia Strońska, a retired teacher, and her son lived, and my uncle, Iwan Stroński, a forester in the village of Sieniawka, with his pregnant wife. They arrested my uncle, blamed him for contacts with the UPA and shot him at night without any investigation or trial, because he supposedly wanted to escape. He was buried in Krowica Hołodowska. Soon his son was born. After these tragic events, my parents registered themselves, our relative and me for the trip to the Ukrainian SSR in Lviv”.

Excerpt from Ołeksander Demka's memoirs about the murder of Ukrainians in Krowica by soldiers of the Polish Army:
In 1945, forced displacement began. The Polish Army came to the village of Krowica with its governors from the Polish partisans. People were supposed to go to Ukraine during the day. Many murders took place on the day of deportation, which coincided with Easter. Anastasia Melnyk, Julija Mazurkewycz, Huk Benedykta and many other villagers, including the church singer Mylan Andrij, were murdered in the presbytery in the family of priest Demka Stanisław”.

Krowica Hołodowska

Excerpt from the memories of Mychajła Podilczak and Marija Połochajło about the mass murder of Ukrainians in Krowica by members of MO and soldiers of the Polish Army:
After some time, the Poles murdered 12 families. In the Wasylek family, they murdered their parents and left the children alive. In the morning the neighbors came out and saw the baby suckling on the breast of the dead mother. They murdered all Kyryls: both children and adults. The old Hrynczyszyn family spent the night at home, so they were killed, and their daughter hid in the henhouse and survived. The priest and his wife hid, their old parents stayed home. [The murderers] put them on the floor, put boards on them and jumped on them until they got tired. They even killed their maidservant.
