Krościenko

In the Połanki hamlet, local Ukrainian policemen and Ukrainian peasants from the SKW murdered 2 Polish families of Krawiec and Łaszkiewicz, numbering 10 people. „The remains of the murdered and burned were collected in one coffin and buried in an unknown place. Thus, members of the «heroic UPA» brutally murdered «enemies of the Ukrainian nation». These enemies were my family – my grandmother, a paralyzed old woman who had been in bed for two years, five children from 2 to 14 years old, three women and a rural carpenter”.

In the first days of June, twelve more Poles died in Krościenko – due to the terrible situation, the Delegation of the Polish Welfare Committee in Krościenko was liquidated.
