Koszów
In Koszów village and Pasieka grange in Lutsk county [the Ukrainians] murdered with axes and pitchforks, torturing at least 31 Poles, mostly women and children. The family of Marianna Bąk was warned about the threat of the attack by the 23‑year‑old Ukrainian woman, Szura Sapoźnik, a friend of her daughter Irena. In July 1943, „Ukrainian partisans” murdered Shura by tearing in half for supporting „Lachs” and not giving away the hiding place of her brother Tolek, who refused to participate in the murder of Poles and join the UPA. Two hours before the attack, a Ukrainian acquaintance from the village of Liniów, county Horochów Petro Bambuła sent his son, who almost by force brought one of the families to his father's farm, where she was hiding for several days. The Ukrainians took the wounded wife of Julian Sokołowski to the hospital and took care of the two saved sons.

There were more such examples [as Petro Bambuła from Liniów village in Horochów county] in this village. So Ukraine has its true heroes. And it should erect monuments to them, not to predators.
