On Korytnica district territory in Włodzimierz Wołyński county [the Ukrainians] hacked 12‑year‑old Kazimierz Surmacz, grazing horses in the meadow with a spade; his mother and two sisters were hidden by a Ukrainian neighbor and then taken by wagon under the straw to Luboml.

The leader of the local UPA militia, a former Ukrainian policeman, Aleksy Kalińczuk, raped and shot a Polish woman; after the war he moved to Kalisz under the false name of Jan Wiśniewski; tried in 1969 in Lublin, he was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
