Kołtów
On Christmas Eve, the UPA murdered 7 Polish families during the Christmas Eve supper, 35 Poles. „In the evening, with a strong blizzard, we went to Kotłów. There were ten of us. We found the murdered in the school building. Seven families: women, children, old people and young men. I counted thirty–five. The sight was macabre: the long table covered with Christmas Eve dishes was stained with blood. I especially remember the wafer soaked with blood. The heads of some of the murdered were stuck in bowls of food […] Miraculously, we learned that the common Christmas Eve evening was to be a farewell evening: all murdered people were supposed to leave the village and move to the city right after Christmas […] Young girls were murdered there, and how cruelly. one was hanged by the hair on the door and her belly was ripped open, on the other hand, her hands were nailed to the table, and her feet were nailed to the floor. Or that little boy. hanged by the genitals on the” handle.
