Kobylnica Wołoska
Fragment of Maria Baran's memoirs about the murders of Ukrainians in Kobylnica Wołoska by members of MO from Wielkie Oczy and soldiers of the Polish Armed Forces:
„There was no end to the crimes. Polish soldiers caught one more boy — Vira. They tortured him in the chamber, and then hung him with his head twisted around his mouth with barbed wire on the tree behind the barn […] They also caught Semen Pawlust from the Duma hamlet and abused him terribly, then ordered him to run away and shot him in the legs. He fell, they came over and stabbed him with bayonets”.

„At the end of February, 22 or 26, 1945, the militia from Wielkie Oczy came to the village and killed Dmytro Lewka, his daughter Kateryna and his wife Marija, who had no wounds, was probably strangled or her skin couldn't bear it. And the next day the Leweks were to leave [to the USSR], they had everything packed […]
On that day they also killed Mykola Mykołyk. He fell at the feet of the torturers, asking for mercy, but as if they had not heard, they killed him […] On the way […] they murdered Marija Wuszko, she carried her husband to the jail in Wielkie Oczy. On the same day they also killed Semen Dawydowycz”.
