The Banderites impersonated the Soviet authorities by organizing the „evacuation of” Poles to Poland; meanwhile they were taken to the village of Polana, to a well 60–70 meters deep, where they hacked them with axes and threw them into the well, the dead and wounded; over 70 Poles in total, the well was covered with rubble and earth, the crime was revealed to the NKVD years later by a Ukrainian woman after a quarrel with a neighbor, the body was excavated and buried in the neighboring village of Myczkowce.
