The UPA and local The Ukrainians murdered 66 Poles. After rape and torture, the victims were killed with pitchforks, axes and bayonets. They stuck a rod in the mouth of Stefan Urbańczyk and finished it off with a rifle butt. Czesław Dec, the blacksmith, who tried to prevent the rape of his daughter, stabbed him in the forge with hot rods and bayonets, and murdered his wife and two daughters. The Pożóg family with their 12 and 14‑year‑old sons were hacked with axes.
