The Germans and Ukrainian policemen murdered 15 Poles, including the parish priest, Fr Marcin Kędzierski, who was abused, stabbed and pushed into a burning presbytery. „In the morning of June 12, at about 6 o'clock, when the fire had spread to everything and the smoke was blowing through all the holes, Fr The canon was stabbed into the fire of the burning presbytery and was stabbed in the back with a dagger. The same was done with the household members of Fr Kanonika, which included the old housewife Aniela Jędruch and two old women from the village, hugged to the rectory out of pity, only Fr Canon: Katarzyna Gagat and Anna Pawłowska. All three women shared the fate of their pastor”. At the same time, the nearby buildings of Józef Pasek were set on fire. In the house, Pasek's wife Karolina and their three‑year‑old son Kazimierz were burnt alive. Józef Pasek was running away.
