About 100 UPA and Ukrainian peasants from the villages of Metków and Rubcze attacked the Polish colonies located next to each other in the rings. Before their death, girls and women were raped and mutilated, and brutal torture was used. Over 300 Poles died in this way, their farms were plundered and burned.
