Jamna
Just before dawn, units of the 14th SS–Galizien Division surrounded the camp of the partisans of the Home Army AK „Barbara” battalion. After a fierce and murderous fight, the partisans managed to find a loophole in the enemy ring. In the morning, the Nazi cauldron turned out to be empty, and according to various estimates, there were from 20 to 60 killed and from 20 to 100 wounded SS men in the battlefield. The losses of the partisans were also painful and severe, but disproportionately smaller (4 killed and a few wounded). The SS men pacified the village, which was burning during the night of 25/26 September, for helping the partisans. 57 people died during this time.
