„March 2, 1945, Polish Army (attack unit) together with 300 people from MO from Łówcza, Brusno Stary, Horyniec and Narol carried out a terrorist action on the village of Stara Huta. After hearing shots, the men from the aforementioned village started to flee wherever they could, but they ended up in the hands of the Poles, because the village was surrounded. The Poles caught 2 boys alive and shot the rest on the spot. A total of 10 men were murdered that day, namely:
Beś Stepan — lived 34 years;
Kozubal Iwan — 35;
Kuzina Julian — 34;
Łys Andrij — 34;
Łojko Iwan — 19;
Manczur Andrij — 48;
Nakoneczny Ołeksa — 58;
Obszański Wołodymyr — 16;
Obszański Myron — 18;
Samiła Stepan — 40.
Beń Stepan was injured”.
