In 1943, Piotr Czaczek was kidnapped and shot at Ostra Mogiła. A German soldier who was traveling with him to get firewood died with him. In front of his wife and sons, Michał Suchodolski was murdered for demanding Polish language lessons at school. Mr. Masny and his Ukrainian wife, kidnapped at night, disappeared, leaving children who were wandering in the village when they were homeless. Without a trace, a young Ukrainian, the s/o a Polish woman, Władysław Zachidnyj and Władysław Kulisnyk, went missing, probably for refusing to cooperate. Helena Hamerla and her 12‑year‑old son were murdered.
