Orthodox feast of the assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary: The Ukrainians murdered at least 8 Poles. „My mother Jadwiga and my father Jan told me personally in Włodzimierz Wołyński that my mother's sister Leokadia, née Kaliniak, about 30, was murdered by four The Ukrainians near Swojczów, in the village of Ewin. It was during the Ukrainian massacre in 1943. They told about her death in the following way: «Two The Ukrainians held her, and two cut her in half with a saw, and so they tormented Łódź to death!» Leokadia got married and had her children, unfortunately I don't remember today how many”. „My name is Czesław albingier, I was born on January 9, 1931 in the village of Sierakówka, commune of Werba, Włodzimierz Wołyński county  […] Leokadia née Kaleniak, the youngest sister of my mother Jadwiga, also lived in Swojczów. My parents told me that Leokodia was a very beautiful woman and she got married before the Second World War. Together with her husband, they lived in the close vicinity of Swojczów. During the slaughter, their home was also attacked by Ukrainian nationalists. During the attack, her young husband was shot and the Ukrainians took her to the forest and raped her for a month. Then she was cruelly murdered by”.

In the summer of 1943 the Bandera followers encircled their village, and then, armed with various weapons, entered the village and murdered literally everyone they met on their way. The murderers did not spare anyone, neither women nor children. Kazia told me personally that their house was also attacked by Ukrainian nationalists. She and her husband ran away. Stanisław grabbed the little Alfreda in his arms, she was about 1.5 years old then, and began to run away quickly, as far as possible from home. Unfortunately, the torturers noticed him and sent him a deadly bullet when he fell to the ground, either with the remnant of his consciousness, or by an authentic miracle, he covered the baby with his body, without causing much harm to him. Kazimiera, meanwhile, was hidden in a shelter or in the immediate vicinity and survived the attack.
