Others: Sigismud Maguza reports: „at dawn, I got up and went on the road. The village was dormant. Nothing seemed to be happening. Suddenly, I hear a terrible, tearing scream – run away, murder! I look at the street and a woman runs there and screams again – run away, they are murdering! – as if she wanted to warn the neighbors. The Banderites murdered the Chomczyński family at that time. They started with her because they were hoping for a nice booty. She was considered wealthy, with a lot of hidden valuables. The Chomczyńskis, however, hid in a solid cellar, as if sensing something and did not allow themselves to be easily removed. The Banderites, wanting to force them to leave, wasted their time and did not manage to come to the Girgilewiczs at dawn. I immediately ran to my aunt and uncle and tell them what is happening and also shout that they have to run away. On the threshold I met Władek, who also woke up, but he just shrugged. I burst into my aunt and uncle screaming we must run! But my uncle just shrugged and yelled at me – what are you afraid of? – The Ukrainians told me that I could sleep well, because they needed me. Without me, there will be no one to hammer their horses, or to make iron rims for cartwheels. Then, without waiting for anything, I got on my horse and rushed to Włodzimierz. Władek also decided to take the horse to the cart and galloped after me with his wife and child. Shots rang out in the area where the Bandera followers were murdering more Polish families and no one could have any doubts that something bad was going on in the village. When the gang approached the Girgilewicz house, my uncle escaped into the corn as if sensing something. She was invisible, but she could observe what was happening in the backyard of her household. The Ukrainians how they came up with them, they shot uncle Girgilewicz right away. a Ukrainian named Trofimiuk did it. The criminals scattered around the farm, looking for the rest of the household, including me – They were furious that no one was there except Uncle Girgilewicz. They were also furious that the vodka and breakfast that I was supposed to prepare were not on the table. The criminals probably wanted «to sum up»'s aunt and uncle's murder in Dziegdziów, and then to kill all”.
