[The Ukrainians] murdered 13 Poles, including the 6—person Kwaśniewicz family: 50‑year‑old Józef, his 38‑year‑old wife Rozalia in advanced pregnancy and their 4 children: 3‑year‑old son Jan, 10‑year‑old daughter Józefa, 14‑year‑old daughter Jadwiga and 17 ‑year‑old daughter aniela. They also murdered 2 Ukrainians, one with an advanced Polish wife, their 8‑year‑old son and a 17‑year‑old maid. „In the years of Soviet rule from 1944 to 1990 in Chukvi, all the tragically murdered victims were symbolically honored. Opposite the local Cultural Center, the Monument of Mother of Ukraine was built and three stone blocks were erected. The names of the victims, including murdered Poles, were written on them. In front of these monuments, a gas torch was installed, connected to a gas pipeline, which was to symbolize the eternal memory of the innocently killed victims. When the Independent State of Ukraine was established, plaques with the names of the victims from the monuments were torn off in the village of Chukev, the candle was destroyed and the gas supply was closed. and this is how started to be born, the «new friendship» between Ukraine and Poland”.

The Banderites murdered her 19‑year‑old son in front of her mother. During the times of the USSR, a Monument of Mother of Ukraine was erected here with the names of Polish and Ukrainian victims of the Banderites, and a candle connected to the gas pipeline was installed. When free Ukraine was created, the tablet was broken, the candle was destroyed, the gas supply was closed; „and this is how the «new friendship» between the peoples of Ukraine and Poland started to be born”.
