Sieniawa

Fragment of the memoirs of Włodzimierz Michałuszko born in 1923 in Czerwona Wola:
The new Polish authorities tried to force our men to join the ranks of the Polish Army, to which we did not agree. For those who did not respond, the police would come and take them to Sieniawa, where they abused them in an animal manner. One man was beaten to death there. At the beginning of 1945, policemen in our village caught a few young Ukrainians and escorted them to Sieniawa. On the way, they shot Ivan Meszka and Mykhailo Kril, who were probably trying to escape them”.

Czerwona Wola

Fragment of information from an anonymous author about the circumstances of the murder of 2 Ukrainians from Manasterz:
My father, Jan Bojarski, lived with his family — his wife and three children — in Manasterz  […] In 1945, in May or June, my father went on foot to my daughter, my half–sister Olga, who lives in Czerwona Wola. He was festively dressed in a suit, black boots with high heels. When he found himself in Czerwona Wola, this village was attacked by a Polish armed gang. Apparently, the bandits demanded that their father showed them where the Bandera followers, the UPA, were. There are assumptions that the bandits knew my father. I know that my father was shot at close range and then pushed to the Lubaczówka River  […] I know that on the same day, but elsewhere in Czerwona Wola, another Manaster resident, named Nestor, was shot”.
