Czernijów
Ołena Fedorczuk, born in 1937 and from the village of Czernijów in the Turzyskie region, told me a strange story about her uncle, Petr Fedorczuk, who married a Polish woman named Władka and had seven children with her. When the Banderites came, Petr was the only one spared his life. However, he did not want to live without his wife and children – and went to death with them. Only son Janek hid with the Fedorczuk family. To save his life, he was later baptized from Catholic to Orthodox.

Perhaps it was August 6, 1943.
