The wife of a Pole, Kowalczyk, a Ukrainian named Oleska, did not want to reveal her husband's hiding place, so „Ukrainian insurgents” started beating her. When that didn't help, they gang raped, then strangled them and hung them on a hook. My husband was sitting in the attic, from where he managed to get out through a straw roof and run to the cemetery. At night he came to the witness's friend's family, Weronika Jastrzębska. „He looked like a living dead, he was all grayish”. The mother of Władysław Wołoszyn, also murdered that night, also used to come to their home. She said, crying, that for several days she had been dreaming about her son who used to say to her: „do not cry, mother, I'm buried in water and I feel good about” – and he described where he was resting. Together with the mother of the witness, they reported the murder to the Germans. They sent a car and a few German policemen with them. And actually.
