There were 40 Polish families. After the massacres on July 11, the Poles wanted to flee, but the delegation of Ukrainian neighbors encouraged them to stay, assuring them that they would be safe. Then they massacred Poles, in which all the inhabitants of this village of Ukrainian nationality participated, including women, children and the elderly! They murdered with axes, forks, knives and other tools. W. and E. Siemaszko estimate that 163 Poles died, but 40 families, that is about 200 people. They give the date of the slaughter July or fall 1943. Only a 14‑year‑old boy and a 30–35‑year‑old man with a broken arm and a cut head survived. Poles' property was plundered by their Ukrainian neighbors.
