Chłopiatyn

June 1946, [typescript] — Fragments of the report of the interrogation of a witness to the murder by Polish Army soldiers on Ukrainians in Chłopiatyn carried out by an employee of the Security Service of the V District II of the Zakerzonya Region 'Czumak':
On June 5, 1946, up to 150 people of the Polish Army, returning from the action, around 2 p.m. it passed through the village of Chłopiatyn. In the field in the grain, they noticed Ivan Sokil, 22, who had a hiding place nearby, and they started to run towards him. When he realized that he had been spotted, he started to run away. Sheep of people in Polish uniform opened fire from machine guns, fins and rifles. The unfortunate man had been running for quite a long time, but it was impossible to escape under such fire. He was injured in the leg and breast. The WP ran up to its victim and started beating him hard. They beat his head with rifle butts unrecognizable. This man was massacred in a barbaric way. Almost as a corpse, they brought the young boy home, where he died right away  […]
On the same day, Polish terrorists murdered Mykhailo Jacyszyn, 26 in a nearby stick [illegible]. they murdered him. Mykhailo experienced torture similar to his predecessor  […]
Another one of the escaping boys was killed, and he served the priest [illegible]. In each of them the Polish sadists performed their animal deeds
