On June 7, 1947, Wojciech Wawryk married Helena Jarecka (1926–2000), his cutie from Skała Podolska, born in Burdiakowce, 5 kilometers from Łosiacz. Burdiakowce – a large village (500 numbers) dominated by the Ukrainians – during the war became the setting for the cruel murders of Banderites. Among others, Helena's father, Stanisław Jarecki (1890–1944), who was a gamekeeper. He was killed and buried in the Skalka forest near Gursztyn, halfway between Łosiacz and Burdiakowce.
