Excerpt from the situational report of the OUN clerk Stepan Golasz 'Mar' from the 'Beskid' district about the murder by Polish Army soldiers on Ukrainians in Tokarnia:
„On April 7, 1946, two battalions of the Polish Armed Forces carried out a raid on a forest near the villages of Wola Piotrowa and Tokarnia. The Polish Army rushed from the forest to Tokarnia, the Sanok district […] They arrested one peasant and led him through Bukowsko, saying that they had caught a Bandera. Then a Polish gang from Bukowsko attacked the caught innocent Ukrainian and killed the innocent victim with stones. Later, the Polish population began to leave Bukowsko in an emergency, fearing the payment”.
