On July 9, 1943, Aleksander Zakościelny was sent to a transit camp. He testified as a witness: „From time to time, Ukrainian SS men in black uniforms and the Gestapo passed through our room, chased a few handcuffed people and led them outside the building, where there were bushes. Behind the groups of handcuffed SS men, groups of men with” shovels were chased.
