Excerpt from the memories of Łew Sycz about 20 Ukrainians from Siedliska who were murdered by bandits and soldiers of the Polish Army:
„People lived here [in Siedliska] in harmony, but the German occupation came, then in July 1944 the Bolsheviks returned. Everything was there: looting, arrests, murders. The militia were the first to arrest Stepan Sycz, who worked as a salesman in the village of Dynów for Germany, and then in the Ukrainian Aid Committee. They came for him in November 1944, he was then 24 years old, a young boy. They chased him to the prison in Brzozów, where they abused him terribly and tortured him so much that he could not stand him already in February 1945. He passed away from among the living. No one knows the day of his death and the resting place of his bones”.
