The Banderites robbed and burned Polish farms and murdered 20 Poles, including women and children. M. in. the following were murdered: forestry secretary Zofia Frichtel and forest apprentice Jerzy Sakiewicz, 20.

28.IX. 43 hours 23. – the village of Borynia near Turka near Stryj was attacked. 5 people were murdered in the Borynia Forest Unit – 1. / Jerzy Alfred Żakiewicz – 19 years old forestry apprentice, s/o the president of the court in Borynia; 2. / Zofia Fichtel aged 20, office forest in Borynia; 3. / Anna née Lipińskich Iwanicka, age 19 – wife of an accountant from the Boryni forest district. The forest inspector's bookkeeper was injured in his leg. 4. / Iwanicki Karol, 29. The building of the forest inspectorate, where Zofia Olnisz was staying, was also attacked /? / And Engr. forester Jerzy Joszt /? /. The woman saved herself by jumping out of the window and hiding in the garden. The man defended himself, withstanding a 2–hour siege, fired at from km and pelted with hand grenades. He killed 2 attackers that the attackers took with them. In addition, Janina Sołtowska, née Mroczków, was killed in the forest district age 39 and her son Mieczysław Sołtowski, age 9. Among the perpetrators of the attack, a certain Łozomczyk was identified, who disappeared from the village after the attack. This gang made more attacks in the Turczański district.

Iwanicka Anna (Polish); 2. Fichtel Zofia (Pole); 3. Sakiewicz Jerzy (Pole); 4. Sołtowski (Pole); 5. Sołtowska (Polish), wife of the above; 6. Sołtowski (Pole), s/o the above.

Fichtel Zofia, forestry secretary – ibid., Sołtowska Janina, wife of the court secretary and her son Mieczysław – ibid., Sakiewicz Jerzy, forest apprentice – ibid. Some of the murder victims were cruelly mistreated.
