Biłka Szlachecka
Ukrainian policemen murdered 5 Poles, including 3 women. after the attack on the village of Zuchorzyce on the course of the action in Zuchorzyce, Lieutenant „Tomasz” sent a report to Capt. „Draży”. „They went with the report. Stanisław Rogoziewicz «Bomb», a man famous for his courage and Stanisław Żelazny, who served as a courier. as the crossing of the main Kurowice–Lwów road was dangerous (the courier from Czyszki Jan Derkacz died on it), they usually went to Unterbergen at night, through the Dąbrowa forest west of Podberezce, crossed the marshes of the Maruńka River valley and reported in Czyszki to the chieftain Aandrzej Kempa «Wicek». There they received a guide to Wólki, where the road was also dangerous due to the positions of German headlights. This time they encountered five armed The Ukrainians in the fields between Biłka Szlachecka and Unterbergen, who surrounded them and started shooting from a distance. However, a German armored car was passing the road and the Germans started shooting both at the Ukrainians and at Polish couriers. In the ensuing confusion, they managed to get out of the encirclement and reach Czyszki. The next day, both couriers were returning from Wólki. Crossing the Lwów–Kurowice road, they noticed a car with Ukrainian policemen who were driving, as they guessed, a circular road from Zuchorzyce to Mikłaszów, where the police station was located. On that day, five people from Biłka Szlachecka who went to Lviv on a cart. It was Paulina Kubów, wife of Jan corp. «The Careful», a self–defense platoon commander, two other women and two young boys. Their bodies were found after a month between Biłka Szlachecka and Podbereżce. It was supposed that the crime was committed by these Ukrainian policemen in retaliation for Zuchorzyce”.
