Belinów (Bruckenthal)
Ukrainian policemen, UPA and Ukrainian peasants from the surrounding villages murdered 230 people: about 45 Polish families, i.e. about 180 Poles, and 10 German families, i.e. about 50 Germans. About 100 people were burnt in the church and about 100 people in the buildings. In this village, Poles and Germans lived in neighborly friendship.

The uniformed bandits were assisted by numerous throngs of mobsters from Domaszków, Sałasza and Chlewczany. They were armed with pitchforks, axes and knives. The first houses began to burn. Arsonists and groups of Ukrainian peasants bustled about among the buildings, plundering whatever they could. Crowds of people walked through the streets towards the church, surrounded and driven by a crowd of bloodthirsty bandits. Others raided cellars and attics, dragging hidden inhabitants from there, tormenting them and raping women and girls […] They were killed in burning houses, in yards and streets, children and women were slaughtered, and thrown alive into the fiery fire of burning barns and sheds. There were no more convicts in the church. So people were killed on the spot […] The greatest torment was experienced by those thrown into the deepest well of Bromerg. They were dying there for several days. The church, packed with people, was closed. Bottles of gasoline were thrown on its wooden walls and shingled roof. The whole building burst into flames. The groans and lamentation of people being burned alive were terrifying.
