The UPA slaughtered 150–200 Poles, burned many families alive, burned down the presbytery and parish church. „Michał Łucki – crucified in the square, and then burned alive with his wife in the” building.

The Banderites kidnapped 4 Poles, including Fr Michał Kucaba, who was shot on the road, the rest of them disappeared without a trace. „On February 4, 1944, Father Michał Kucaba, 44, is murdered in Bednarów [Stanisławów] and his cousin Ewa Dellman” was wounded.
