Myrosław Onyszkewycz „Orest Karat” gave the order: „I order you to purge your area immediately from the Polish element and Ukrainian–Bolshevik agents. The purge should be carried out in riverside hostels sparsely populated by Poles. To this end, create a militia near the area, composed of our members, whose task would be to eliminate the above–mentioned. Our larger hostels will be cleared of this element by our military units even in broad daylight  […] The clearing of the area must be completed before our Easter so that we can celebrate it without Poles. Remember that when the Bolsheviks find us with Poles in our territory, they will slaughter us all  […] Make a hard, ruthless fight with them. Not to spare anyone, even in mixed marriages. To take Lachs out of their houses, but The Ukrainians and children in these houses should not be liquidated  […] Get the gun. Death to the Poles. Stop, April 6, 1944. Glory to the heroes! Orest, Karat” This order is in the files of the investigation against Myroslav Onyshhevych.

Bachów

On the evening of the same day when Maćkowice was attacked, probably the greatest attack on The Ukrainians took place. An unidentified unit attacked the Bachów, but faced strong defense there. After two hours, he finally took control of the village, burned down most of the buildings, and then hit Brzuska (Berezka) and Sufczyna. According to the report of the head of Bircza, about two hundred The Ukrainians and one Pole were killed in Brzuska (allegedly they were also hacked with axes)  […] . We know the description of the attack on Bachów from the account of one of the survivors. According to her, seven hundred „Polish partisans” were to arrive from beyond the San River, who, after checking the Kennkarte, killed Ukrainians. About eighty people (seventeen named by name) fell victim to […] the UPA officer mentioned that in […] he counted  […] victims  […] of 95 Bachów, including 26 children.

Fragment of a field report by an unknown OUN clerk about the murder of post–Home Army units on 72 Ukrainians in Bachów
On April 11, 1945, Polish Home Army AK carried out a mass murdering action on the Ukrainian villages of Bachów and Brzuska. 10 April 1945 at 23.00 they crossed the left bank of the San river in Babice by ferry to the other bank and spent the night on the grounds. At. 4.30. in the morning they jumped to the village of Bachów. They came in a group of about 180 people, somewhere 120 were armed, the rest came with axes for the robbery. In addition, civilian Poles from Huta surrounded the forest, preventing Ukrainian civilians from accessing the forest. The commander of this group was a Pole from Brzóska, Jan Kowalski, who escaped to the other bank of the San  […] They burned 20 houses, 2 barns and 4 barns in Bachów. They took 40 cows, 16 horses, 3 goats, 10 carts, and also a lot of grain. While shouting «We are avenging Volhynia!», they killed 72 people:
