Around 23:00 the UPA attacked the colonies of Perespa, Suia, Terebunia, Załawiszcze, Parośle II, Wydymer, the villages of Antonówka and Piłsudy, and other towns located north of the railway tracks. The Poles flee towards the railway station hoping to protect the German unit. On the way, they encountered a UPA ambush, who emerged from the forest in a row from the station. They killed with axes, pikes, bayonets, pitchforks. In the forests and swamps, the hunt for hiding families or individual Poles continues for several days, as well as the brutal murder of those captured. Antoni Przybysz: „On the night of July 30–31, UPA units attacked all Polish colonies in the communes of Antonówka, Włodzimierzec, Dąbrowica and Stepań  […] Widziałem jak banda UPA wymordowała mieszkańców kolonii Antonówka na Wołyniu, spalono ich domy i cały dobytek  […] sam widziałem jak UPA zabiła 37 osób, wśród nich było 3 moich krewnych”.
